About Theo, and this little night-light of a site

I'm Theo Marlowe, and I have been awake at inconvenient hours for most of my adult life. Somewhere along the way I stopped fighting it and started taking notes. This site is those notes: late-night moods sorted by temperature, from the cool, wistful ones that smell of rain on a windowsill to the slow, flushed ones that make you grateful nobody can see your face.

Everything here is a ranked list, because lists are what a restless mind reaches for, and because a ranking is just a polite way of having opinions. They are opinions, not science. I have no charts and no studies, only a long record of nights. Every list ends with a suggested listen or story, a place to put your attention when the ceiling stops being interesting.

Those suggestions often lead to TheFriend, where you can spend time with AI characters such as Luna, Derin and Celeste, or open one of the short romance dramas. They are fictional, written for adults who like their evenings romantic, teasing and a little suggestive, and I will always say plainly that they are not real people. Think of them as good company for the hour when real company is asleep. Fade to black is my favorite place to stop.
